A blessed opportunity for our youngest learners to shine during the sacred month of Ramadan. This special event is designed exclusively for children 10 years and younger, focusing on the bottom 3 Juz of the Qur'an.

This is a special Ramadan event separate from our regular annual competition. It follows a unique timeline and format designed specifically for this blessed month. This event may or may not be held annually, depending on community participation and feedback.

Residency Requirement
Participants must be legal residents of North America with valid residency status.
Age Requirement
Participants must be

Born on or after January 1, 2016
Preparation Standards
- Strong memorization of bottom 3 Juz (28, 29, 30)
- Proper Tajwīd application
- Teacher approval required
- Recitation in riwāyah of Ḥafṣ ʿan ʿĀṣim

Two-stage evaluation process
Preliminary Round
Two-part evaluation
Video Upload
Submit a video recording during the registration process demonstrating your memorization of the bottom 3 Juz.
Virtual Memorization Test
Participate in a live virtual assessment (late January / early February 2026) where judges will ask questions from the bottom 3 Juz to verify memorization.

How is this different from the regular annual competition?
This is a special standalone event held during Ramadan for our youngest participants (10 years and under). It has its own unique timeline, format, and registration process separate from our main annual competition.
Can I participate in both the Ramadan event and the annual competition?
Yes! These are separate events. If you meet the eligibility requirements for both, you are welcome to participate in each.
What should be included in the video submission?
Your video should demonstrate clear recitation from the bottom 3 Juz (28, 29, 30). Specific guidelines and requirements will be provided during the registration process.
Will this event be held every year?
This is our first year hosting this special Ramadan event. Based on participation and community feedback, we will determine if it becomes an annual tradition.
Do I need to travel to Minneapolis for the preliminary round?
No. The preliminary round consists of a video upload during registration and a virtual memorization test. Only finalists will need to travel to Minneapolis for the final round.
