2025 Updates
Registration
Info
Registration Dates: March 1st to March 16th, 2025
- In an effort to standardize the age requirement cutoff date, it will be changed to Jan 1st. Therefore, as long as you meet the age requirements for a category by Dec 31st, you will be eligible to participate in that category. This will not negatively affect anyone next year but rather allow more people to participate or repeat each category.
- Registration withdraw deadline for the Memorization & Ten Qira’at Divisions will be April 13th, 2024.
- Notice: Penalties will be imposed on participants who failed to attend the 2024 main competition without prior notification, as previously outlined.
Best Voice
Division
- The Best Voice competition will now be a single round, with no video upload or separate preliminary round.
- All preliminary round participants from the Memorization Division are automatically considered for the Best Voice competition and will be evaluated by judges to determine their eligibility for the main event.
- Selected participants will be ranked based on their Tajweed, Voice and Adaa’ points.
- Participants will be given a specific period to either accept or opt out of being added to the Best Voice Division after the preliminary round.
- 10 participants will be selected for Group A (13 years and older) and 10 for Group B (12 years and younger).
- If there are not enough participants in a category, it will be canceled.
Islamic Studies
Division
- Further details about the Islamic Studies division will be provided soon, pending final decisions from management.
Preliminary
Round
Preliminary Round Dates: May 22nd to May 26th, 2025
- The prelim round will be conducted via Zoom.
- Competitors will be automatically scheduled for the preliminary round, with the date and time posted on the registration site
- Only the highest-scoring competitors from Round I will qualify for Round II.
- Qualification status for Round II will be available on the registration site approximately one week after Round I
Final
Round
Final Round Dates: To be determined (TBD) – Mid to End of July
- Final Round will be held in-person in Minnesota, USA.

This Qur’an competition is staffed entirely by volunteers. If you would like to be a part of the volunteer team, please fill out this volunteer form to be considered. We appreciate your interest and look forward to your assistance.
Yes, you can participate in the competition again if you didn’t place in the top 3 positions. The exception to this are categories in the Ten Qira’at positions where 2nd and 3rd place winners were awarded a Certificate Award for a certain year.
Information about round II of the competition will be posted online very soon.
